Giving back to the community is very important to the staff at BidCactus, and is an essential part of our identity and direction as a company. We frequently auction off special Bidpacks to raise money for various charities. For every user participating in these auctions, BidCactus will donate $1 to charity. With your help, we have been able to support the organizations below!

Mikeys Way Foundation (Dec 2010-Jan 2011)
Amount raised: $3,171
Mikey's Way helps children with cancer escape the fear, isolation and boredom of prolonged and often lonely hospital stays. Founded by Michael "Mikey" Friedman, who at age fifteen, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. The "Mikey's Way Cart" circles pediatric floors, where kids can choose from a selection of handheld, educational and interactive electronics that can help a child of any age find the diversion they need to get through the long hours of treatment.
Feeding America (Nov 2010)
Amount raised: $5,226
Feeding America is the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Each year, the Feeding America network provides food to more than 25 million low-income people facing hunger in the United States. The $5,226 donation raised through our charity auctions this year will provide 47,034 pounds of food for the hungry.
Breast Cancer Emergency Aid Foundation (Oct 2010)

The mission of the Breast Cancer Emergency Aid Foundation is to help breast cancer patients in need by providing direct non-medical financial assistance. The BCEAF offers grants for expenses such as utilities, transportation to and from doctor's appointments, specialty bras, and even babysitting during chemotherapy.
United Service Organizations (Jun 2010)

The USO (United Service Organizations) is a nonprofit organization that provides support to U.S. military personnel stationed across the world. In times of peace and war, the USO has consistently delivered its special brand of comfort, morale and recreational services to the military.
Autism Speaks (Apr-May 2010)
Amount raised: $2,271
Autism Speaks is the nation's largest autism advocacy organization. It is dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and cure for autism. It also acts as an advocate for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Save the Whales (Mar 2010)
Amount raised: $2,979
Save the Whales is a nonprofit organization founded in 1977 to educate children and adults about marine mammals, their environment and their preservation. Donations are used to fund their education and outreach programs to schools.
Haiti Earthquake Relief (Jan-Feb 2010)
Amount raised: $9,442
The January 12th earthquake that rocked the coast of Haiti killed or injured a devastating number of people. Charity funds from this auction went to the Bush Clinton Haiti Fund to provide immediate, high-impact relief and long-term recovery efforts to help those most in need of assistance.
Toys for Tots (Dec 2009)

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation helps needy children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas. The goal of the Foundation is to deliver, through a shiny new toy, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them into becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

Feeding America (formerly America's Second Harvest) is the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Each year, the Feeding America network provides food to more than 25 million low-income people facing hunger in the United States. The $3,496 donation raised through our charity auctions provided 24,472 meals for the hungry.
